It was a beautiful week up at the cabin. Great fishing, swimming, shopping and more. Here are some crappies Dad & Corey caught going out one night after dinner.
Crawlin' on Grandpa
I think next time we're up Maddox will be able to push himself on this.

Yes, I'm pretty sure Grandpa Rob is the only person I know that has a carpet square just for little kids on the patio. Here's where Maddox played while we all played some cards. He was actually able to get the balls to go in the holes to make the toy play music. Isn't he advanced.
He did join the card party a few times. There was a good song on the radio so he had to do a little dance.
Another night of cards. Great Grandma Adeline was with us for part of the week and whooped our butts at cards. Luckily I was her partner most of the time.

Swimming at the beach! We spent quite a few days at the beach all lubed up in sunscreen. Maddox absolutely loved to get wet. He also loved all the great floaties he got to try out. His little tushy wouldn't fit in all of them though. This one is for up to 27 lbs, so it was a little tippy.
Maddox found that under the dining room table was a great place to play.

An evening after swimming - great lighting eh? Thanks for taking the pic Katie!
Uncle Ben decided to give Maddox this beer can to play with. Um...I guess its sort of cute?

I know Maddox's face is a little strange here. I think he's blinking. I had to include it though to show the great game Ben decided to play with Maddox. Needless to say, we had to throw all the cups out after that.

Mmmmm....ribs. We definitely ate well while we were up.
It was a little humid that day, so here's Maddox getting ready to brush barbecue sauce on our ribs.
The sun island...I think most of you have been on this. The year we got it we celebrated Uncle Scott's birthday when he was turning 2. It's been around a while.

More swimming! This was on the evening before we had to go home, so we had to take advantage of such a beautiful evening.
My dad decided he needed to blow up every single floating device for the kids.
After swimming, we headed out for pizza and cake for Grandma Jane's birthday. Dairy Queen cake - my favorite. Happy Birthday Grandma.
Home again, home again....cool dude in shades.

Oh, on the development front, Maddox stood for 10-15 seconds unassisted at Grandma & Grandpa's Sunday night. He's also climbing stairs and chasing our cats around like crazy.

So glad you had a wonderful time up north! Wish we could be there! I remember going as a kid and they are some of my favorite memories. Maddox will always look back fondly on these summer trips.
