May Update!

Well, we headed to the cabin for Memorial Weekend and had a blast as usual. We spent our time golfing, fishing, playing outside, cooking/eating, & working on some projects. Maddox broke out his new fishing pole and Grandpa taught him all he knows
Maddox really liked reeling in that cute little plastic orange fish. I can't wait until he catches one for real!

Maddox also practiced his basketball skills on the old hoop. He loves to dunk. Everytime he sees a basketball he starts yelling "DUNK! DUNK!"

This weekends project was putting up the new basketball hoop. Maddox just liked taking a ride in the wheelbarrow.

Here we are digging out the hole and putting in the frame for the cement.
Maddox was the foreman.
He tested out the hole when we were done digging to make sure it passed his inspection.
It was cute because he actually cried when we took him out. I think he kind of liked it in there.
After that though he did require a bath.
Baby Emma! Here's Maddox checking out 5 month old baby Emma, Meaghan & Tony's little girl.
He gave her lots of kisses.
Penguin walk! Here's how Maddox demonstrates how he walks like a penguin. This was prompted by one of his new favorite movies, Happy Feet. Trip to the Minnesota Zoo. I renewed our season pass to the zoo and Amy & I took the boys the other day. It as beautiful out and all of the babies were out at the farm.
Here's a goat sneaking a nibble of Maddox's fingers.

Maddox is obsessed with tractors, diggers and pretty much anything that looks like a machine/tractor of any sort.

"Hey, I'm over here."
Diaper changing time!

Here's a cute shot of Hunter cooling off in the afternoon. Look at that belly!

Dinner is served...I've been trying to take after some work friends and plan my meals & shopping lists out ahead of time each week. It's been fun to actually have ingredients for whole recipes. I've discovered that I like cooking more than I thought.
Maddox likes it too!
Eggs with Daddy for breakfast.
The joys of having a boy. Maddox's legs look terrible these days. He is quite fearless and has gotten a number of bumps and bruises. I guess that's what you get for going down slides head first, backwards, forwards and every which way. My son has no fear of anything and thinks he's 5. I run my tail off at the playground trying to protect him from any major injuries, but we have a blast.

Hey Heidi,

What is the second dinner you made? It looks really good! Andy and I do well with the planning out thing for about 2 weeks and then it goes out the window. Right now we've been meaning to go to the grocery store for about 2 weeks! Oops!

Heidi, we call those scratched, bruised legs "summer legs" in our house! They always seem to come with warm weather and shorts.
