I'm Gonna Get Him!

I love my new friend!

Maddox loves to play with himself in the mirror! I'm pretty sure he thinks there's another baby in front of him.
He even suprises himself sometimes after he looks away then turns back.
We broke out a summer romper yesterday since it was so beautiful out.
His rolly-polly legs looked so cute hanging out.
He has discovered his feet! Maddox has now found his feet and tries so hard to get them in his mouth.
Corey took off Monday & Tuesday this week to hang out with Maddox while I slept. I worked Friday thru tonight. They had a blast! He even took Maddox outside in his exersaucer - doesn't he look so tiny in front of our door.
Maddox loves to watch daddy's screensaver. It's a great way to keep him entertained.

So many toys!
To the park! - Maddox and I went to the park twice in the last week. Rowan, Angie, Maddox & I went on a nice day last week and Corey, Maddox & I went last evening. It was just beautiful!
Maddox had so much fun too! He just loves to be in new environments and soaks it all in.
I was obviously quite exhausting though - he took a nap on the way home.
Here's the view outside our front door.
Grandma Jane & Grandpa Chuck stopped by before heading to a concert on Saturday evening to see Maddox. Unfortunately he slept most of the visit, but they were able to get a few snuggles in before the concert.

Corey's taking to this whole daddy thing more and more everyday. He's even wearing Maddox in the slings now. How adorable!

We went to Amy's last weekend for a work girls get together. All the babies (minus Matheu, Dawn's little 6 month old boy) came too. On the left is Ellery, Nicole's little girl - 6 months old, and in the middle is Belen, Ginelle's little girl - 11 weeks old. It was quite a challenge to get them all to look good for a picture. In the above picture, you can see that Ellery doesn't want to look, Belen is distracted by her hands, and Maddox is blowing bubbles.

We were eventually able to get a pretty cute shot. Aren't they just adorable! Well, Maddox hasn't changed too much this week besides finding his chubby little feet. He's sitting quite well too. It's been fun to get out and go on walks, go to the park, and just plan get out of the house since it's been so nice out. It's making me get stir-crazy for the cabin.

Maddox's Girlfriend

Here's Maddox checking out Ellery, Nicole's little girl (one of my co-workers). Ellery is 6 months old and her and Maddox are trying to sit and check out eachother. It's super cute!

I Can Sit!

Our new discovery this week is that our little dude can sit on his own. We noticed it last Tuesday night and he's gotten better and better every day.
He's also getting better and better at standing. Those big, chubby legs can hold the little guy up pretty well...
...but he is still the best at relaxing.

He's also liking sitting in little highchairs now. Another month and a half and we'll give him something to taste, but for now he just likes talking and playing with bowls & spoons.
He still loves to giggle!
First Haircut! - Corey and I decided that Maddox's "wings" on the side of his head had to go the other day, so we took the clippers to them.
He was excited at first...
...but then he wasn't so sure about his new look.
We also finally broke down and bought him is very own exersaucer/intellatainer.
He especially loves the crazy dragon/lizard thing.

Here's Maddox standing next to the couch just holding on all his own. It won't be long and he'll be pulling up onto things. He's such a little monkey.
We headed to the Minnesota Zoo this week with Angie & Rowan. It was super fun and we will definitely be getting a season pass come spring.
Maddox sat in the stroller for the first time (not in his car seat). He loved to look forward and check out all of the animals. He loved to drool too.

Maddox is just talking away more and more. He's becoming such a great part of our everyday routine. He's sleeping 8-9 hour stretches now and is just so mellow. He's almost 5 months old!

Giggling!

20 Weeks! - Cool Dude!

Maddox is now 20 weeks old and just as adorable as ever. He can sit pretty well with help from one of us of course to catch him when he just gets too excited and topples over. He loves to be on his tummy now too and can lift all the way up onto his hands. His back end doesn't move too much yet, but the other day when Corey was putting his diaper on Maddox almost rolled over onto his tummy. He's becoming quite the little monkey. He's also super into Cooper, one of our cats. I'm pretty sure they're best friends now. Maddox giggles every time Cooper walks by and he grabs fists full of hair out. Cooper just keeps purring. I think he'll take any attention he can get.
My mom and I went emergency shopping for Maddox the other day because we are just running out of clothes. I could clothe 8 babies with all of the stuff Maddox has grown out of. We did find him some cute spring and summer outfits though.

I'm not sure if Maddox was as amused as I was during his bath the other day. I just couldn't resist playing with his long hair.

Maddox is having a blast hanging out with Angie & Rowan still. The other day Angie was trying to convince Rowan to come upstairs because she had to bring Maddox up to eat and by the time she was actually able to get both of them up there, Maddox leaned into Angie and fell asleep. It was SO cute. Angie came in and said, "I think Maddox wants to eat" then she looked down and said, "Oh, well, he did, but now I guess he's asleep".
Maddox is loving the new hip and chest hold in his Kangaroo Sling. It's just so snugly.
It's a great place to put him when he's getting a little tired because he doesn 't fuss at all and just snuggles right in for a nap.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTIE JENNA! On Sunday we headed down to Grandma Jane & Grandpa Chuck's house to celebrate Auntie Jenna's birthday. We even got Maddox all dressed up in a Dude Outfit. Maddox wasn't too sure what to think of Grandpa's facial hair.
He did, however, enjoy Uncle Kyle. It must be his veteran Daddy techniques.
Maddox is still just loving his baseball. He plays catch with Daddy daily.

Oh, this picture just makes me want to kiss him. I'm still loving being a mom and hate leaving him to go to work, but I guess 4 out of 14 days each pay period isn't too bad, eh? I've even been on-call twice this weekend, so I haven't really had to work too much yet. Maddox is growing and changing so much it's just hard to keep up. We're headed to the Minnesota Zoo tomorrow with Auntie Angie & Rowan, so I'm sure we'll have fun pictures for next week.
