18 Weeks!

Maddox is 18 weeks old now and so much fun! He is such a giggler. He laughs at everything, especially just before he's ready for a nap. It's like he's just so tired everything's funny. I'm working on posting a video of one of the giggle fests.

Maddox is getting better at sitting every day. He still just loves to hang out with his cousin Rowan. Angie & Rowan have been coming over once a week to hang out while I sleep after work.

I'm not sure what Rowan is doing here - Maybe thinking a profound thought. I think he's going to be a writer, eh?

Cooper decided he had to get in on the fun too!

Maddox is now trying more and more to roll onto his side. I haven't been able to get a good picture of it yet, but I think he'll be rolling over onto his tummy soon.

His hair is settling down a bit, but it's looking more and more like a Donald Trump comb-over.
The Lion - Maddox got a lion teething toy from Auntie Jenna & Uncle Andy for Valentine's Day. It's his new favorite toy for sure.

Well, being back at work's been going okay. I miss the little guy a ton. He's been doing great for Corey though. He gets up usually twice for him, takes 1-3 ounces and goes back to bed. I got out of training at 2am the other morning to find the adorable scene below.

Here's Maddox at his 1 week check-up 9 lbs 4 ounces...

...2 month check-up 15 lbs 11 ounces...

...and 4 month check-up 21 lbs 7 1/2 ounces.

4 Month Check-up!

We went in this afternoon for Maddox's 4 month check-up. He'll be 4 months officially on Saturday.

He's officially 21 lbs 7.5 ounces! Yes, that's huge, but oh so adorable. He's not on the growth charts for weight still, but he's in the 95th percentile for head (17 1/4) and length (25 3/4).
The doctor said that's he's growing, thriving and just doing great. The visit did have to end with some shots! Sorry Maddox.
But he survived them just fine.
Our little guys is just getting big so fast I can hardly remember how tiny he really was.

Happy Valentine's Day! - Maddox and I hung out all day and took naps together since it was my first night back to work. He did just great at home with Corey, but I hated to be away. I even left work a little early to go home and snuggle in with him.



Well, we decided to put one of Maddox's "Dude Outfits" on since he's growing out of them ever so fast. Here's his rocker jeans and quite a serious look on his face.

16 Weeks!

My maternity leave is officially over. I took 16 weeks and that's today. It's back to work tomorrow. Last night was just about the most fun I've had with Maddox so far. He was so smiley and giggly that I could hardly stop kissing him. We had him down to his diaper getting ready for bed and he just got silly.
So we thought we'd get a few shots to show just how adorable he really is.
He's definitely trying to look like the Michelin Man - I think it's working, eh?

Chuck & Jane stopped by before going out for Valentine's Day a little early to give Maddox his present and hang out a little bit.

Last Friday we visited Rowan while Angie went out to do an interview. It was a lot of fun, but definitely hard to watch two at the same time.

Our little guy is just getting so big so fast and doing more and more each day. It's so much fun to see him discover the world. He's talking so much more now and just laughs like crazy. It's so rewarding to see him laugh and smile. He can sit pretty well with support and loves to stand. His favorite thing is "mirror time" where we just hang out in front of our mirror closet doors. Well, I'll let you know how going back to work goes.

I'm Stuck!

We got a new seat at Target today and it's suppose to be for 3 to 14 month olds to help them be able to sit without assistance. It's a super cute concept, but when we tried to put Maddox into it he hardly even fit.

After we squished his thighs into the seat, we picked him up and the seat was stuck onto his butt! We even had him in a disposable diaper, so that's not to blame. Our baby is apparently just that chubby, but oh so cute!

Dude in Overalls!

I have now found that overalls are the way to go when you have a plump baby. There's plenty of room in the waist and they're super cute!

Maddox is now 15 weeks old and becoming quite the character. He's more and more interactive at tummy time looking at things and trying to grab them.

He definitely doesn't like it when Cooper ruins his photo shoots.

Still adoring to stand, Grandpa helps him up.

Grandpa really wanted to get a picture of him standing on his own, but he was a little chicken to let go.

Yes, more bath pics. Here's Maddox and Rowan sharing their first bath at Grandma & Grandpa's before bedtime. They're pretty much the same size.

The show drew quite a crowd, so I had to get a picture.

He likes to snuggle heads too. Grandpa joined in the fun.

He's just becoming such a sweetheart and mommy's boy. I'm back to work next Wednesday, so it should be interesting.

Maddox still grabs at everything! He loves his Bumble fly...

...and his monkey's feet under the play gym. I think it's because they're easy to grab at.

Oh, every day just gets more and more fun! It's crazy to think back at how I managed when I had an infection, mastitis, & thrush and he was fussy a lot. I think I have motherhood amnesia.
